The final list has been released, detailing the talents contributing on Oct. 12, 2017, when Gold Medal Plates hits Edmonton once again. The event is a major fundraiser for the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic teams. Hosted by 11 cities across the country, Gold Medal Plates has raised some $12 million for the cause since 2008.
Last year, Eric Hansen of Prairie Noodle won the competition, held at the Shaw Conference Centre and sporting all sorts of athletes and entertainment celebrities. Here are the contenders this year: Andrew Ihasz, Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel; Jan Trittenbach, Solstice Seasonal Cuisine; Levi Biddlecombe, Packrat Louie; Lindsay Porter, Woodwork; Medi Tabtoub, Vivo; Ryan Hotchkiss, Bundok; Shane Chartrand, Sage; Shelley Robinson, Atlas Fish and Steak; Steve Brochu, Chartier; Steve Buzak, Royal Glenora Club.
