A crowd of about 600 architects, engineers, entrepreneurs and community leaders are expected to be on hand Thursday evening as the province’s steel industry celebrates its best and brightest.
The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction’s 2015 Alberta Steel Design Awards of Excellence kicks off at the Shaw Conference Centre’s Hall D with a pre-awards reception at 5:30 pm.
The awards dinner runs from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm.
Awards will be handed out in a variety of categories, including architecture, engineering and sustainability.
Event sponsors include Supreme Group, Waiward Steel, Collins Steel, Leder Steel, Empire Iron Works and Canam, among others.
